“You can use the liqueur “43,” or Grand Marnier in place of peach schnapps. I don’t like to use bananas because they tend to get mushy and brown. Make sure to marinate the fruit in the wine for at least a few hours, preferably overnight, and don’t add ginger ale until serving.” –Winnie
“I added in some vodka as well to give it an extra kick–and you couldn’t even tell (until later!).” –mrsstuck
“Put it in a big beverage dispenser and made a frozen ice ring of OJ, wine, and club soda w/ fresh fruit in it to keep it cold while in dispenser–looked very nice!” –BeckyC
“I recommend waiting to add citrus fruit until 3-4 hours before serving. If you leave the fruit in overnight, the Sangria can take on an acidic taste.” –CookieEater
