I saw you post that your friends dog is very sick. Our golden retriever was diagnosed with congestive heart failure when we were living overseas. The 1st vet we saw gave her 2 weeks to live. We were then very fortunate to see the vet that looks after the animals at the Singapore Zoo. He told us to make a soup for her. We fed her only the soup for quite a while and slowly started adding a bit of kibble to it. She ate that soup every day of her remaining 3 years with us. You can find a frozen mix usually but we generally bought fresh. I sure hope your friend’s dog is not in too much pain and is enjoying all the love she is getting. Such a hard, sad time. Carrie
Dog soup: Equal measurements of
Carrot, broccoli, cauliflower and squash. Add just enough water to let it boil until veg is tender enough to mash. Mash & let cool. When Balloo was at her worst, she liked it a little bit warm. It will keep in the fridge close to a week and also freezes well.
