Typically, braising meat involves slowly cooking in a liquid. The recipe listed previously only calls for 2T of water in the oven. Here is another popular corned beef recipe to compare. When simmered on the stove top, there isn’t really an exact time to cook since each cut will cook different based on shape/size and the amount of fat.
Want to make this tomorrow for Rueben sandwiches . I have a point cut brisket , and it weighs 3.49 lbs . Mauigirls recipe calls for a 5lb. brisket , cooked @ 275 for 6 hrs. How long do you think to cook this , using same method ? Have never roasted a corned beef brisket , always have done stove top . Any help appreciated . Thanks . lump :)
