Good morning! We were out all afternoon and early evening yesterday so we ended up having McDonalds for supper. A few hours later we all had belly aches. My question to you is what do you make for supper when you are short on time that would use ingredients most people have on hand? TIA for any suggestions!
I also keep a bag of the frozen chicken breasts in the freezer. You can thaw quickly in a bowl of water and cook in skillet with salt, pepper and garlic powder. You can even add onions, celery and/or bell peppers while it’s cooking along with bite size potato, put lid on and let it be a one skillet meal. Add a little water as needed so it doesn’t get dry.
I was surprised that all the salmon recipes like this were called ‘salmon cakes’. We call them salmon patties. I use choppe celery & onion: saute or cook in microwave with a little water until soft. Add egg & bread crumbs, black pepper. I use one egg per can of salmon. AND you can make it even cheaper by using one can of tuna with one or two cans of salmon. These cook quicky in the skillet while you boil potato, drain add butter & dried parsley.
