Semi-OT: Does anyone have a recommendation for a good pressure cooker? I have never used one before but am thinking of buying one- mainly to cook dry beans quickly and thus buy fewer canned beans. Thoughts and/or advice? Thanks so much!
You should boil down your personal preferences . . . some examples: stove top vs. electric, aluminum vs. stainless steel, size, etc. Then search for a model that satisfies your specs. Miss Vickie has quite a bit of info in helping you decide . . . http://missvickie.com/workshop/schoolframe.html, and gives you her suggested models
Stick with a Stove Top. I have the Fagor Duo and it is easy to use, safe and has sufficient size to handle larger recipes. I also use a Cuisinart Electric, but the lid does not come on and off easily. I prefer the Fagor for sure.
Don’t cheap out or you may get frustrated and have buyers remorse. The Fagor is very highly rated and it is obvious why.
PS Don’t think you are limited to dried beans. They work for most anything!
