Hi everyone! I’ve got a kitchen appliance question for you all. No matter what we’ve used to clean our deep fryer, a Cool Daddy, it still feels gummy to the touch. Simple Green has been the most effective cleanser but not perfect. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks all!
I have recently re-discovered Murphy’s Oil Soap. I used it on our deep fryer and the gummy stuff came right off. Took a few applications to get down to the shine but not hard to do. I keep a spray bottle of water mixed with about 1/4 cup Murphy’s to wipe down my range hood and stainless appliances daily. NO streaks, cuts grease and smells clean.
Zep Heavy-Duty Citrus Degreaser will remove the tacky residue. It’s available at Home Depot in 1 gal. jugs . . . a bit pricey at $11.47/gal. It’s also great for cleaning outdoor equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, etc. as it removes grease and grass stains. It’s also great for pressure washing as it doesn’t have harsh chemicals that can damage a pump.
