Good Morning, I am going grocery shopping and one of the things on my list is fresh cranberries. Can anyone give me an easy recipe for cranberry sauce? I’ve never made it and would like to try. Any hints or tips are welcome too. I am making and sending a Thanksgiving dinner with a friend to a remote work site up north for a bunch of guys who otherwise won’t be getting a dinner and want it to be a special one. Thanks folks. This is much appreciated.
I always make my grandma’a cranberry sauce recipe. It isn’t cooked—just raw fruit, nuts (opt.) and sugar or sweetener. She used 1 red delicious apple, cored (leave peel on), 1 navel orange, 1 one pound bag raw cranberries, 1/2-1 cup walnuts, chopped, sugar or sweetener to taste. This is my favorite! Being a diabetic, I sweeten some of it with artificial sweetener for me, then add sugar to the rest of it for everyone else.

Hi nice. cheers.
This sauce can be made days ahead, covered with clingfilm, refrigerated then brought to room temperature or slightly heated before serving.
360g/12 oz fresh Cranberries
180ml/ 6fl oz Orange Juice
150g/ 5oz Brown Sugar
60g/ 2oz White Sugar
60ml/2 fl oz Rum
Place all the ingredients in a sauce pan and cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally for 15-20 minutes or until most of the liquid has reduced;
Remove from heat.
