Cheers! Wine Before Bed Might Help You Lose Weight

Just in case you needed another reason to indulge in a vino nightcap, as it turns out, it may not be 100 percent of an indulgence after all. On the contrary, it might actually help you lose weight, says Shape magazine citing two recent studies from Washington State University and Harvard Medical School. Intriguing, no?

Researchers at WSU say that a polyphenol in red wine called resveratrol (also found in greater force in berries, grapes, and apples) turns white fat into the more voracious calorie-burning beige fat. And the Harvard study found that in 13-year study of 20,000 women, those who drank two glasses of red wine were 70 percent less likely to be overweight. Furthermore, a third study linked resveratrol to appetite suppression, so having a couple glasses of red in the evening could prevent you from overeating right before bed.

Wine lovers all over the world clink their glasses in celebration!
