Reese's Bats Will Be Flying off the Shelves This Halloween

In the past, Reese’s peanut butter cups made in the shape of say, “Christmas trees” or “hearts,” kinda looked more like regular round Reese’s gone awry. Case in point:

But as the saying goes, if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. And try again Reese’s is with bat-shaped peanut butter cups. And despite previous disappointments, I don't think I’m alone in saying that I’m really pulling for Reese’s to have a bat-shaped win, because the potential cuteness + deliciousness is scary high for these Halloween treats. (“Scary high”… see what I did there?) I can already see them as cupcake toppers, pressed into brownie icing, or as a the "cherry" on top of a spooky ice cream sundae.

Bat-shaped Reese’s will be joining the seasonal treat ranks with Reese’s Pumpkins, but you’ll only be able to find them at Target ($3.59 a bag), so get there on the double. Fingers crossed for some convincingly frightening sweets! But if they just end up looking like poorly executed circles again, it all tastes the same, right?
