Whiskey, a Global Go-Go

Whiskey, it’s a global affair. Americans might imagine whiskey was invented solely to slake the thirst of dust-bitten settlers on the American frontier. But the Irish have been making some pretty keen whiskeys for more than 500 years. And let’s not forget the Scots, who spell it “whisky” and with whom the Irish have a centuries-old argument running over who invented the stuff. And then there are the Canadians, who blend a fair batch themselves (and follow the Scottish spelling). The Japanese, of course, are making some tasty whiskeys, too. However you spell it, the world has a thirst for whiskey.
